As a personal stylist for women, you know I love shopping.

But I love my country even more.

If you’re feeling helpless and overwhelmed with the current administration’s use of masked, armed ICE agents to intimidate- there are ways to push back against this behavior.

Of course, protest is a visible way to communicate to the administration, the public and the rest of the world that we do not endorse this behavior. Protesting is not the only solution. You can also support organizations doing the work and your friends, neighbors and community members who can use your energy and resources.

The strongest way to send the most effective message to the administration is a targeted boycott of corporations who are empowering this behavior. This only works if it’s a collective action. It’s time to stand up and to encourage those around you to stand up, too.

I’m famous for not remembering the big things. I remember the small things—interactions with people, kind gestures, meaningful moments. But I often forget the very big things. Like being quoted multiple times in CNN Underscored, for example. 😉 That sort of thing.

So when it came time to look back at Poplin’s 2025, I was genuinely surprised by just how many important milestones we reached this year. Huge thanks to my camera roll and calendar for jogging my memory.

Whether you’re new to Poplin or have been here for years, I’m curious how much of this will feel familiar to you. (My marketing brain wants it all to feel recognizable. The part of me that wants you to feel joy right now hopes some of it feels fresh and exciting. A mix of the two feels just right.)

As a personal stylist for women based in Seattle, loungewear is a big topic of conversation. Yes, we’ve all become more casual over the past several years. But, if you live in a wet or cold place, you really know something about the significance of the right loungewear.

While we all want to be comfortable, it’s important to remember the very real and positive impact of wearing clothes that make you feel good. That can easily be confused with what’s comfortable or functional, because those pieces give you the freedom to move freely for whatever opportunity arises. But functionality can only take you so far. Wearing something that is super cozy, but makes you cringe when you look in the mirror does not set you up for success. This is an integral part of choosing the right loungewear.

It's super sale season again. I don't know about you, but my shopping list is long. I've been hoarding items as I wait for the Black Friday Sales to kick off. Of course, there are some items that were too dreamy too risk it- and I've purchased those over the past few weeks. My criteria? Is it likely that my size will be there when Black Friday Sales arrive and if not, am I willing to risk losing it? If not, I buy. Otherwise, it goes on my Pinterest Boards as I await the sales.

Atomic Habits and Style: Lessons from our Recent Poplin Style & Women in Finance Workshop

As a personal stylist for women based in Seattle, my days are varied. On any given day, you may find me styling a client at her home, designing her Wishlist in my office or creating knockout outfits at either location.
