The Plus Size Pulse- Collaboration

Hello Reader,

Seems like forever since I got on the horn to ya'll and I am happy to be back with some fabulous updates of happenings in the plus size world. This month we has some pretty great revealings made by two players in the fashion world.

One:

Gabi Gregg launches her newest swimwear collection on Swim Suits for All. With this latest collection Gabi further insights awe and confidence with her collection of 8 high waist bikini's and singular one piece style. All are in eclectic vibrant hues that speak to the joys of summer. Going from size 12-24 and with cup sizes accommodating bust up to a HH this line continues Gregg's desire to rebel against the preconceived notions of plus size swimwear and the bodies in them.

We are seeing more and more collaborations in the plus size fashion world, Isabel Toledo for Lane Bryant, the whole slew of amazing designers that presented with Evans at this last fashion week, and now a new kid on the block...see below

Two:

We had the announcement of Targets newest collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer. It will include plus sizes. After a blogger announced she was boycotting Target due to its lack of plus size selections and their ever shrinking plus size collections in store and online, it looks as though Target may have listened. Personally having joined the boycott to not shop at Target until change was made I am happy to see some effort put forth, and I hope this is a sign of future jumps for Target into more inclusive practices. UPDATE!! As of the 21st Target made the announcement that they are unveiling a new in house designed plus size label, AVA & VIV mid February. This is a huge step for Target, especially as they enlisted three industry savvy plus size bloggers to star in their lookbook for the collection as well as audit and give constructive criticism. I cannot express how excited it makes me to see consumers demand positive change and then see a result!

So far the collection will have 90 pieces at first launch in stores and online, and range in price from $10-79.99.

Other great things to check out include Ashley Graham's lingerie collection for Addition Elle, as well as their awesome Nola active line. Nola is chic, supportive and so functional. Speaking of Active lines Lane Bryant just launched their new Livi line.

We are seeing so much progress and I hope that 2015 brings even more!
