The Hippest House Shoe with Arch Support

I live in these shoes. Coordinated loungewear always helps me feel more put together. I’ve had this for several months but it looks like they still have it online!

As a personal stylist for women, one thing that comes up repeatedly is the struggle to find comfortable attractive shoes. Whether you suffer from Plantar Fascitis, general foot pain or just want to end the day without worrying about your feet, the proper shoe is vital. Over the past few years, we’re seeing more and more clients with foot issues thanks to working from home and living in slippers or flip flops.

As someone who’s had a hybrid work environment for several years (working from home, at retailers and at client homes), this is one of my obsessions. So, when I find unicorn shoes, I have to share.

Super Cool and Comfortable House Shoes (that you can also Wear Outside)

I know. It’s a lot to process. But let me tell you why these Birkenstocks are all the things. So much so, I bought them in red and white.

  1. They look cool.

    Let’s face it. That’s important.

  2. They have removable arch support.

This means that if you have high arches, like I do, you can get that extra life you need. Or, not. It’s entirely up to you. Also, the removable support is the Birkenstock cork footbed that you know and love.

  3. You can toss them in the washing machine!

If you’ve been with me for years, you know how much I adore rubber or plastic shoes because you can wash them repeatedly to give them new life.

  4. They work well in the rain.

It may seem counterintuitive because they are clogs, but I wear them in the rain pretty regularly. Yes! That means they are house shoes that can also be worn to take out the recycling or run the kids somewhere. Of course, they aren’t going to keep your feet totally dry in a downpour. But they do have a platform that lifts you up and are made from a material that can get wet.

  5. They come in several stellar colors.

Sure, I got white and red. But, I’ve really been pining for the yellow for some time….

  6. They are crazy affordable.

    Seriously.

  7. You can wear them with socks or without.

I know. I buried the lead here, didn’t I? Yes, you can wear your clogs with socks. You’ll have a definite Nordic vibe, going. Just be thoughtful about your entire outfit and the socks you choose. For example, I would not wear the outfit I’m in above with socks and these shoes. However, I do often wear the red pair with black socks, a black cowl-neck sweatshirt, black coated kick crop jeans and a black vegan leather trench coat. That’s my rainy weekend look as of late.

I told you they were awesome. As always, let me know how it goes for you out there.
