Fury meets fundraising. Laughter meets liberation. Join us for a powerful evening of purpose and release.

In the face of growing restrictions on women’s access to healthcare, we’re coming together to take action—and to breathe. This private, women-only fundraiser for Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho will feature:

  • Powerful speakers, including a representative from PPGWNI, sharing stories from the front lines

  • Mediocre karaoke catharsis — because sometimes the only thing left to do is scream-sing (Choose your song here!) Sing in the car. Sing in the shower. Sing karaoke.

  • Exclusive for incredible services from women-owned businesses including:

    • Architectural design services from Office of Ordinary Architecture ($2,500 value)

    • Personal styling with Poplin Style ($1,760 value)

Hosted by Sandy Wolf, Founder of Office of Ordinary Architecture and Mellicia Marx, Founder of Poplin Style Direction, at her Seattle home (address shared upon RSVP), this night offers a chance to channel rage into action—and joy.

Since Roe was overturned, PPGWNI has seen patients from over 20 states. They're doing the work. Let’s fund it.

Come ready to listen. Come ready to sing. Come ready to give.

Located in Ballard re-souL is one of my very favorite shops for shoes, clothing, accessories and gifts. I stock up there every holiday season for friends and family. Check out the re-souL collection of beautiful shoes thoughtfully designed in Seattle and made in Italy.

I’ve loved the Vixen Collection for over a decade. The Magnolia location was the set for the Poplin Microsoft Ad. With a second location in Queen Anne, it’s an ideal destination for fun, reasonably priced clothing, accessories and a wide range of skincare and self care products. Plus the witty dishtowels are everything!

The power of film. Zurawski v Texas and Never Rarely Sometimes Always are a window into the current fight for access to care in the US.

Ready to learn more?

SEE

Zurawski v. Texas

Sandy and I went to see Zurawski v. Texas presented by the ACLU and SIFF a few months back. This critically acclaimed documentary film shadows three clients from Texas denied abortion care—even while facing life-threatening pregnancy complications—and the Center attorney fighting on their behalf. In one profoundly heartbreaking case in the film, the doctors confirmed that the baby would not live for more than a few moments after birth and yet the mother was still forced to carry her pregnancy to term. I can’t tell you how powerful it is.

Never Rarely Sometimes Always

Idaho is one of the most restrictive states in the country for access to abortion.PPGWNI is a rare resource for women in Idaho (and other states throughout the country) who need access to abortion. This film follows a pair of teenage girls in rural Pennsylvania travel to New York City to seek out medical help after an unintended pregnancy. It shows the tremendous hardship women face when they need to travel for reproductive healthcare services.

Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho Annual Report

This is a good way to get a quick overview of the situation and statistics but it’s only the beginning.

LISTEN

If you are a woman in the world, you have your own story of the importance of access to reproductive healthcare. Controlling when and if you have children, getting support during menopause or peri-menopause, finding the source of your heavy periods or countless other issues- we each have a story to tell. It may feel essential to block everything out right now, but our stories are important. Reflect on your own. Listen to the stories of the women around you. Ask your friends and then consider how things could have turned out differently without access to services and support. We hope to see you at the event. If you can’t make it, please consider giving.

Looking forward to blowing off some steam after you make an impact?

You’ve come to the right place.

Enter to win then choose your karaoke song from over 23,000 songs in English, over 600 songs in Spanish and wait for it…. 12,000 songs in Japanese!

If you’ve ever relied on reproductive healthcare—or know someone who has—this is a chance to give back. Whether you buy one or more drawing tickets, advocate for reproductive rights with your elected officials or show up to protests, it matters.

  • Buy your drawing tickets.

  • Make a donation at the event.

  • Share with a friend.

  • Choose your mediocre karaoke song. (Sing in the car. Sing in the shower. Sing at karaoke.)

These are stressful times and it’s easy to feel despair and let inertia take hold. Hope is a verb. We choose to hope, to feel joy and connection with others. This is an essential part of the work and it builds resilience.

Take meaningful action then do some mediocre karaoke with old and new friends and release so you have the energy to do it again.

Together, we rage. We raise. We release.

Let’s do this.
