Feminine, Unique with a bit of an Edge
As a petite woman, Kristin felt restricted to choose from the limited options available. Frustrated, she tried clothing memberships only to discover that she still felt uninspired by clothing that didn’t resonate with her. Our first job was to let her think big about what truly appeals to her, rather than choosing from the available options.
Approach:
We dove deep into Kristin’s existing pieces to help identify her style key words. Then, through the collaborative process, we pushed to see what pieces were both appealing and a little bit intimidating. We focused on finding an array of items that were functional while still being very exciting to her. Her Wishlists were not limited to petite items and instead relied on expert tailoring to transform each piece into a unique garment that would last for years.
From the client:
From the first Zoom introduction, what comes through is someone who cares that clients feel confident in what they’re wearing and in themselves….The work with Mellicia is a longer-term process. It is a process of building and investing in a thoughtfully designed wardrobe. It is also a process of learning how to add to, maintain, and edit a thoughtfully designed wardrobe. If I had to choose between getting clothes immediately that I’m “just ok with” or spending more time to build and invest in clothes I love, I choose the latter! Working with Mellicia was a great investment. I usually don’t spend money on myself like this, but her guidance is well worth the investment of time and funds.
