Holy Crow! Poplin is on HuffPost

As a personal stylist for women I often hear my clients tell me that they hear my voice in their heads. If you ever feel like this, you aren’t alone. Yours truly is a featured interview in this comprehensive and relevant article on HuffPost.

I’m not going to lie. I’m losing my mind a little over here.

Not only am I listening to some great music while I take this in, I really can’t believe that I had the opportunity to speak to something that is SO relevant to Poplin’s mission. Sure, there are opportunities to offer info about spring trends or the current cuts of denim. And, yes, those are super fun and useful, too.

But THIS. This is a rare chance to speak to folks about what I’m always talking to you about, Dear Reader. Love your body. Acknowledge what struggles you have and let me offer some guidance to eliminate those and make getting dressed a fun way for you to express yourself. Don’t change your body, change your clothes.

It’s especially meaningful as we phase out of the pandemic. The past 15 months have been brutal for the service industry. Restaurants, of course, but also aestheticians, hair and make up artists, hairstylists, photographers, boutique owners and an array of creative folks that I work with everyday. Expectedly, personal styling was a part of that, too.

As you know, Dear Reader, Poplin was in hibernation for the duration of lockdown. And, for the majority of that time, it was very unclear to me if it would ever come out. I’m so grateful for the clients who checked in over the past year and a half reminding me of the impact of this business and the blessing that is to have a job that enables me to spend my days with inspirational, fun, open women who respect my work and value my time. Thank you.

Because of skyrocketing demand both from my existing client base and from new folks, we’ve been doing some heavy lifting on the back end to improve the client experience. And, you’ll soon be meeting a new addition to the Poplin team. There is much momentum over here and this article came at the exact right time. Huge thanks to Brittany Wong for the platform. Enormous thanks to all of you for being with me on this journey.

Check out the article and some of the other awesome tips from various stylists interviewed. There’s good stuff in there. See you soon!

P.S. Remember to register for the evening of connection with Poplin Style and Cha Wilde to welcome us all back from lockdown. Fun fact: I’m truly terrible at yoga. So, the bar is low for that part of the evening.
