Banana Republic Meets Southwest Chic

Ann was transitioning from a more formal career and needed clothes that fit that change. Additionally, she had been struggling with weight fluctuation and has young children, so she hadn’t invested in pieces for herself in some time. Plus, she had little success when she did purchase items, mostly from Target as she navigated parenting and working full time. Our strategy was to have a fresh start, only keeping items that truly communicated her authentic personal style and fit her properly. Shopping at accessible stores, we also were mindful of her budget and purchased a smaller collection of pieces that would mix and match easily and ensure she felt like her best self everyday.

Working with Mellicia is like working with your best friend. She is fun and kind and knows just what to ask to figure out what I like and want. After we cleaned out my closet I had nearly nothing to wear - literally one pair of pants and a few shirts! Even so I was very apprehensive about shopping. But the trip was amazing. Working with the style guide Mellicia had come up with based on my personal style, everything we tried was my style and came from stores I can easily visit to update my wardrobe in the future. I will happily continue my work with Mellicia and would recommend her to anyone!
