What I'm Wearing Right Now

I have several conversations a day about what I'm wearing. Whether I'm at a coffee shop, with a client or walking down the street, fashion is a hot topic of conversation. I'm also one of those people that REALLY wants to share a great deal or a way to empower someone else to rock a new style. Therefore, I'm officially launching the "what I'm wearing now" page. When I have a conversation with someone about a piece, I'll list it here for easy access. If I'm sharing with one person, why not share with the entire Poplin community? So, here it is. Please enjoy.

P.S. If you click through from this page Poplin may receive a commission on your purchase. That's the reason items go up (they go up because I love them). But, hey, it's a win for us all. Thanks VERY much.

My Favorites

I feel like I'm living in long sleeve maxi dresses. The key is the unexpected pointy toe boot to make them more Florence, less the machine. I'm wearing my colored boots shown below quite a bit and large earrings (for example the grey pair below). Each one I own is sold out, so here are a few that give you the flavor.

So, I spent at least 20 minutes at re-souL trying to decide between the blue velvet booties (SO amazing) and these. I don't own a flat ankle boot and these really spoke to me- so I did what I almost never do for myself- I went with the "practical" option. And then, I was amazed. I really had no idea that I would LOVE these boots as much as I do. I've been wearing them constantly as they are so comfortable, work with skinnies and dresses and are much edgier than I realized in the store. When compared with the blue velvet boots, they seemed standard and expected. When compared with any other boot, they are bad ass.

I've been wearing some version of these boots since late summer -whenever the weather would cooperate. Now, it's available from an array of companies- so you can hit your ideal pricepoint and color. I've got light blue, red and bright yellow in slightly different versions. (The red is below.) If I were to get another color now- I'd go for this blue option from Halogen or a white pair.

I've been wearing these locally made earrings everyday for nearly two weeks and I don't see the trend ending anytime soon. I pair them with a ring I made years ago with a giant grey rock on it. So good.

Speaking of those earrings, I've been loving them with my navy Curator dress. This one is very similar and would be equally compelling. Ideal for- well everything.

My very favorite striped tee. This is the ideal piece to mix with florals and large prints. It lasts forever and is available in multiple colors and with seasonal updates (like ruffles).

I'm getting TONS of compliments on these super affordable and comfortable boots. There's a designer pair in the window at Nordstrom which makes me feel even better with every wear. I also have light blue and bright yellow in varying shaft heights. And of course, I'm obsessed with wearing them with hot pink because... I can.

Every pair of these locally handmade earrings are different. My pair is light wood and I'm wearing them multiple times per week. They are super light weight and are a big topic of conversation.
