Happy day before Thanksgiving, Dear Reader!
Vacation is almost here. It's time to give thanks and very soon, it will be time to shop. And, here's what you need to know about both:
My favorite local shoe store re-souL in Ballard announced a shoe drive to benefit YouthCare on the re-souL blog this morning. Ballard retailers approach Black Friday a little differently, and I like it. Participating retailers choose to celebrate "Give Back Friday" by donating a portion of their proceeds to local nonprofits. I'm especially grateful for the connection between re-souL and YouthCare.
Expect a post about giving back on Thanksgiving Day. If you are interested, here's my post from last Thanksgiving, What I've Learned From Styling Homeless Youth.
While you are stopping by to donate some shoes, it's obviously a glorious opportunity to pick up a new pair for you and yours. If you aren't familiar with the shop, here's my blog post gushing over Maggie, Legh and the team.
Of course, there's more shopping to be done. Check the blog first thing Friday morning for a list of my favorite deals. They are REALLY good.
That's it! I hope you enjoy getting to know re-souL and YouthCare a little better and get ready for some super fun shopping!
